Privacy Policy
Treat this site as a signpost, not a shop. Nothing is sold from these pages, no card is charged and no walker is booked here. All 18 free walking tours described are run by independent local guides, and every reservation happens on GuruWalk, or on freetour.com for the walks listed there. Since nothing transactional takes place on this site, the information it can collect is limited. This page states what that is, and what changes the moment you click through to a guide's own page.
Data From Opening A Page
There is no form to fill in anywhere on this site. Reserving a free spot means going to GuruWalk, or to freetour.com for the walks listed there, and anything entered on that platform, a name, an email address, stays on that platform. It does not come back here. What remains is the ordinary technical trace a browser leaves when it opens any web page.
What Your Browser Leaves
A plain cookie can note that a page was loaded. It holds nothing personal. Nobody is tracked between visits, and no advertising identity is assembled from reading here. Where anonymous page counts exist, they record that an article was opened, and never who opened it.
The Plain Answer
- No account is needed to read anything here. There is no form to fill and no checkout anywhere on this site, because no walk is reserved and no ticket is sold on it.
- Every walk listed here is free, pay what you want: you reserve it on GuruWalk, or on freetour.com for the Fun English Old Town Walk and the German-English Old City Walk, and their own privacy terms cover whatever you enter there.
- The outbound walk links are affiliate links. Following one costs nothing extra, since the pay-what-you-want amount is the entire price of the walk, and GuruWalk or freetour.com then pays this site for the referral.
- Cookie settings live in the browser itself and can be changed at any time. The footer also carries this site's email address, for any question a reader wants to send.
Your Choices
The small amount of data that ever touches this site stays under visitor control. Cookies can be refused or wiped in any browser without losing a single page, from the church and museum facts to the profiles of all 18 walks. Reserving a place on a walk is a separate matter: it happens on GuruWalk, or on freetour.com for the Fun English Old Town Walk and the German-English Old City Walk, and an account opened there belongs to the visitor alone, to close whenever they choose.
For corrections, questions about privacy or comments on this page, the footer email address is the one to use. Anything specific to a walk belongs with the person who runs it. The meeting point, the languages offered or anything else about a particular departure is best raised with the guide directly, either through their GuruWalk page or, for the Fun English Old Town Walk, its freetour.com listing. Those guides operate their own walks; this site runs nothing and takes no bookings.
